It all started in 2006. The Desert Caballeros Western Museum decided the world needed an annual showcase for women artists in the west. The rest is history! ,Sam was invited in 2019. The 14th annual show was held March 29th through May 12th. It consisted of over 50 renown western women artists. Sam has also been invited, again this year for the 2020 showcase and is delighted to be a part of the excitement! Want to know more as the event approaches? Art In Medicine

Sam was invited to display a collection at the College of Medicine in Phoenix, where the effects of art in medicine is studied and observed. Sam created a collection of abstracted, layered and deep artworks. These pieces contained architectural, mechanical and nautical elements, providing viewers with ephemeral glimpses into the artist’s world. Layers and abstraction create opportunities for deep observation.

We packed up and headed to Tucson!

Our two-person show Visual Delights and Fanciful Flights of Imagination ran in the main gallery at UAMA from May 27 - Oct 1. Poe's drawing studio was reassembled inside the museum; surrounded by some of his largest sculptures, he demonstrated his drawing process at the reception. Sam showed 30 mixed media paintings, featuring new works and Archetectural pieces.
